I would like to understand what is the current plan and rough time estimates regarding the support for Python 3.12. Also, how can the community help reaching this milestone? More generally, I think this relates to the maintenance efforts for OmegaCong and Hydra: omry/omegaconf#1200
Motivation
Python 3.12 has been released 15 months ago and the Python community is rapidly adopting it. The latest release of Hydra (1.3.2) had support for py3.7 and py3.8 which have reached end of life since. The same faith will happen to py3.9 in about 9 months.
Pitch
Adopting Python 3.12 not only future-proofs the project but also demonstrates the commitment to embracing progressive technology and fostering a vibrant, collaborative community.
