Chromecast music assistant player provider broken

The problem

When trying to play from music assistant to a chromecast device, device displays a 404 error. About a minute later it will start to play but then will randomly start. See reddit discussion here: https://www.reddit.com/r/homeassistant/comments/1hvtymg/music_assistant_migration/
Able to work around by switching devices to Home Assistant Media players which seems to indicate the issue is with the chromecast integration.
