Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes (except remote explorer)

  • VS Code Version: 1.72- (vscode server)
  • OS Version: 18.04.1-Ubuntu or 20.04.1-Ubuntu

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. open an image file on the remote server explorer.
  2. open any other file to cover the image file tab.
  3. change to image file tab and the tab doesn't render.
  4. the tab renders after opening the image file on local mechine.
png2.mp4

(left window is the remote server, right is the local server.)

this problem also occurs when opening the markdown preview.

md.mp4

Similar to this problem, .ipynb file on the remote server explorer can't be rendered.

jupyter.mp4

Additional, this problem occurs when using extension Excel Viewer to preview csv files.
(PS: this problem doesn't occur with other distributions of linux.)
