Hi everyone,

After signing up for student developer pack, I had applied for domain name from namecheap... After logging in on namecheap , it gave access for a domain name , but it said to purchase SSL certificate...
It's written in details on github student develper pack that one year SSL certificate will be given for free...

Kindly help me regarding getting SSL certificate for free using Github Student Developer Pack .

Hi @prajyotdeshpande23 ,

To get SSL Certificate on Namecheap go to the pack offers page, scroll down to "All Offers" section,
first of all make sure to connect your GitHub account on Namecheap then request your offer code to get the SSL certificate.

If after doing that you're still unable to claim your SSL certificate, contact support by opening a ticket here, select "I am a verified student having trouble redeeming my Global Campus offers" and explain your issue.

I'm stuck at DNS validation process...
I have done all necessary steps in the instructions...

DNS validation
Namecheap’s Default DNS, Backup DNS or FreeDNS: Visit the host records page.
Namecheap Hosting DNS: Create the CNAME record manually in your cPanel account.
Other: Create the CNAME record manually at your DNS provider.

Get a CNAME record from this page (Edit methods).

As you’ve added a CNAME to your domain’s DNS zone, check if the CNAME has been added properly:
Go to https://mxtoolbox.com/CnameLookup.aspx.
Enter CNAME value and click “CNAME lookup”. If you get “DNS record published” all is correct.

But after following these steps... I searched it on https://mxtoolbox.com/CnameLookup.aspx
It didn't showed up...
Kindly Help me finding a right way to move ahead with it....
