So, we have actions to lint the descriptions and titles of our PRs to conform to our standards. We have a workflow that works for this, and it only triggers on a PR edit or open, which is great. However, the status still gets dismissed when a new commit is pushed, but the workflow isn't triggered (because we configured it to not do that). This means that we can't make it a required status, as people would have to make empty edits just to get it to lint, which is especially annoying if you already fixed it.
I was a little surprised that statuses are dismissed for actions even when they don't trigger. I would expect that statuses should only be dismissed if they are configured to trigger and otherwise copy the status from the parent (recursively). Would this be possible?
