14 cameras hardware reccomendation | 2025 | 5 day record and save | 1x Coral | I'm a believer #15887

I love this software! I'll keep it short. Followed the directions (awesome) and now I'm looking for hardware that will easily handle 14 cameras. (maybe) motherboard I have currently have 12 cameras detecting @ 704x480, and it's more than I could've wished for (performance wise). Please ask me questions to help me understand my own question IF it comes across as too vague. Thank you, Ramble (no useful info): |

Depending on the amount of activity, a single Coral could easily handle that. If you have a small budget, even an older i7 that supports OpenVINO (6th generation or later) could handle your needs. You wouldn't even need a Coral at that point. |

If you're running openvino with 14 cameras you'll likely want something closer to 9/10th gen since openvino is a bit more CPU intensive
